JOB DETAILS:

Role Overview:

To handle all cash, card, and digital payment transactions accurately and efficiently while providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced bar/restaurant environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process customer payments using POS systems, handling cash, credit/debit cards, and mobile payments.
• Issue receipts, refunds, and change accurately.
• Maintain a balanced cash drawer and prepare end-of-shift reports.
• Greet customers, answer basic queries about menu items, and promote specials or loyalty programs.
• Collaborate with servers and bartenders to ensure smooth order flow and billing.
• Follow opening and closing cashiering procedures.
• Adhere to all company policies regarding cash handling, security, and customer service.
• Assist with light duties such as menu cleaning, stocking takeaway items, or supporting colleagues during peak hours.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have prior experience working as a cashier or in a front-of-house role within a bar, pub, or high-volume restaurant.
• Proficiency with POS systems and basic math skills.
• Honest, reliable, with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, especially during peak nights and weekends.
