30 hours per week, 39 weeks, term time only

Hours worked between 8.30am – 3.00pm Monday to Friday (hours could be negotiated for the right candidate)

Grade/scale: 2-point 4/5

Actual salary:£16,300 - £16,572

Do you have experience of working one to one or in a small group with young children with SEND needs and/or a physical disability in a care role capacity?

Hollywell Primary School are looking to appoint an experienced, caring, motivated and highly committed Care Assistant to join our team to start November 2024.

You will join a staff team who are professional, supportive, and hard-working to ensure our children receive the support they need in order for them to flourish in the school environment. The successful candidate will primarily work alongside an established team in the Year 1 class to support children who have physical and SEND needs. The role will also involve supporting children who find coming into school in a morning challenging.

You will need to be an excellent team player who is able to demonstrate good communication skills and flexibility in supporting our pupils, staff and parents. Experience of working within an education setting would be desirable.

The Successful Candidate Will

  • Have a patient and caring approach.
  • Ideally have experience of working in Key Stage 1.
  • Have had previous experience of working with children with SEND needs.
  • Be passionate about making a real difference to the lives of the children.
  • Build positive relationships with the staff, children and parents/ carers.
  • Knowledge of supporting children with SEMH needs.

The successful candidate will have to meet the requirements of the person specification in order to be offered the post, will be required to undergo a full enhanced DBS check and must be eligible to work in the UK.
