INTERNATIONAL TRADE CENTRE (ITC) CALL FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST (EOI) ADVANCED FILM ACCELERATOR & MARKET ACCESS PROGRAMME (2026)
The International Trade Centre (ITC) invites qualified registered organizations to submit Expressions of Interest (EOI) for multiple roles under the Advanced Film Accelerator & Market Access Programme to support the development of export-ready film content and commercially viable content. The International Trade Centre is implementing a Creative Economy project which is enabling young women aged 15–35 in Uganda to access digital and fulfilling work in the creative economy. The project leverages Uganda’s creative economy to build sustainable livelihoods for young women through training, market access, and financial inclusion. The film component of the project, the Advanced Accelerator Programme for Filmmakers, is designed to empower Ugandan filmmakers through intensive training, industry access, and structured pathways for project development.
The programme will be delivered through a 14-week Online Development Lab (July–October 2026), followed by a 3 days in-person Residency and the Access to Market Event in Kampala (October 2026). Reasonable adjustments and accessibility measures will be considered across programme delivery to support the participation of diverse women creatives, including women

ITC strongly encourages applications from women practitioners, women-led organisations and individuals with demonstrated experience supporting female creatives in Uganda’s film and creative economy sector. ITC strongly encourages applications from organisations and practitioners with experience in disability inclusion, including accessible outreach, inclusive facilitation, and support to women with disabilities.
Selected applicants will contribute to the implementation of a comprehensive film development programme, supporting capacity building, project development, industry engagement, and market access for filmmakers.
International applications are welcome. International experience is considered an asset; however, strong knowledge of the Ugandan ecosystem is required for outreach, supervision roles, and selected mentorship positions. For all mentorship roles, applicants should demonstrate awareness of gender dynamics in creative professional development and the ability to adapt coaching and training approaches to support women participants in varied socioeconomic and cultural contexts. Applicants for relevant roles should demonstrate inclusive practice and the ability to adapt outreach, training, communication, and event delivery to enable accessible and meaningful participation.
For outreach roles, applicants should demonstrate experience engaging underserved groups through trusted networks and inclusive entry points in the relevant region. Preference shall be given to organisations with a strong track record in inclusive outreach. For event, training, and mentorship roles, applicants should be prepared to support accessible and inclusive participation through appropriate communication, delivery, and support approaches.
