Job Summary:   The BI & Reporting Analyst will play a crucial role in delivering data-driven insights and maintaining reporting systems across the organization. This position combines technical expertise with business acumen to support decision-making through effective data visualization and analysis.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Report Development & Maintenance

  • Design and implement interactive dashboards for tracking key performance indicators
  • Create and maintain automated reporting systems for daily, weekly, and monthly deliverables
  • Develop standardized reports ensure consistency.
  • Build and maintain executive-level PowerPoint presentations
  • Generate custom reports based on stakeholder requirements

Data Analysis & Insights

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of business data to identify trends and patterns
  • Perform root cause analysis for performance variations
  • Generate forecasts and predictive models to support business planning
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to support strategic decision-making
  • Create and maintain metrics documentation and calculation methodologies

Data Management & Quality

  • Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and manipulation
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency across all reporting platforms
  • Implement data validation processes and quality control measures
  • Maintain data dictionaries and metadata documentation
  • Support data cleaning and transformation processes

Strategic Support & Innovation

  • Support the development and implementation of company-wide data strategy
  • Identify opportunities for reporting process optimization
  • Recommend and implement new BI tools and technologies
  • Develop and maintain reporting best practices
  • Create and maintain documentation for reporting processes

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Partner with business units to understand reporting requirements
  • Conduct training sessions on dashboard usage and interpretation
  • Present analytical findings to various stakeholder groups
  • Provide regular updates on reporting initiatives and projects
  • Support data-driven decision-making across departments

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field
  • At least 2 years of experience in business intelligence or reporting & data analytics
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • SQL knowledge for data extraction and manipulation
  • Experience with data visualization and BI tools Power BI, Evidenece.dev, R shiny etc
  • Proven track record of creating and maintaining automated reporting
  • Creativity & Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to present complex data to non-technical audiences
  • Experience in creating executive-level presentations and reports

Additional Desired Technical Skills

  • Working knowledge of Python or R for data analysis
  • Experience with statistical analysis and forecasting
  • Familiarity with data modelling processes
  • Experience with version control systems

Required Technical Competencies

  • Advanced Excel: pivot tables, power query, formulas, data modeling
  • SQL: query writing, optimization, database management
  • PowerPoint: advanced visualization, template design
  • Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI, Evidenece.dev, R shiny etc
  • Fair Understanding of Database management systems
