Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and driven Business Development Officer to join our dynamic Sales and Marketing team. In this pivotal role, you'll be instrumental in generating new business opportunities, cultivating long-lasting customer relationships, and driving significant revenue growth.
You'll work closely with both new and existing clients, providing tailored product solutions and ensuring a seamless sales process from initial prospecting to successful closing. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for sales, exceptional communication skills, and a proven ability to consistently meet and exceed ambitious sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
As a Business Development Officer, your core responsibilities will include:
- Lead Generation & Qualification: Proactively identify and qualify new sales leads through strategic field visits, effective phone calls, and compelling email outreach to build a robust pipeline of potential clients.
- Sales Appointment Management: Efficiently manage and schedule appointments with prospective clients to expertly introduce and promote Nina Interiors' premium products and services.
- Client Acquisition & Relationship Building: Present and promote products and services to both new and existing customers, focusing intently on understanding customer needs and fostering strong, long-term relationships.
- Sales Closing: Leverage exceptional customer service skills and advanced sales techniques to successfully close deals and directly contribute to revenue growth.
- Sales Strategy Development: Develop and collaboratively share effective sales closing strategies with the team to enhance overall sales performance and knowledge.
- Customer Retention: Cultivate lasting relationships with clients by providing consistent support and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction throughout the entire sales cycle.
- Client Satisfaction & Escalation: Promptly address and escalate any client concerns to ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
- Referral Generation: Actively seek and develop referrals from satisfied clients to continuously expand the customer base and generate new opportunities.
- Sales Tracking & Reporting: Meticulously track all sales activities, appointments, and progress through status reports to monitor individual performance and ensure consistent achievement of sales goals.
- Target Achievement: Consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales goals, directly contributing to the overall success and profitability of the business.
- Continuous Improvement: Proactively seek feedback from clients and colleagues to continuously refine sales techniques and contribute to the improvement of product offerings.
- Needs & Cost-Benefit Analysis: Conduct thorough analyses of customer needs to present tailored, value-driven solutions that ensure long-term satisfaction and maximize client benefit.
Requirements & Qualifications

- Negotiation & Persuasion: Exhibit strong negotiation and persuasion skills, with the capability to effectively overcome objections and drive successful sales outcomes.
- Target-Driven Motivation: Be highly motivated, results-oriented, and possess an unwavering drive to achieve and exceed monthly sales quotas.
- Presentation Skills: Ability to create compelling client presentations, effectively communicate product benefits, and deliver persuasive sales pitches.
- Organizational Skills: Possess strong time management and organizational skills, ensuring efficient management of appointments, follow-ups, and meticulous reporting.
- CRM Familiarity: Proficiency in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools and a solid understanding of Business Relationship Management (BRM) practices for tracking and managing customer interactions.
- Tender Writing Experience: Proven experience in bid and tender writing to effectively support and pursue significant business development opportunities.
Experience & Education
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in a sales or business development role, with a strong and verifiable track record of achieving sales goals and driving business growth.
- Technical Skills: Strong computer proficiency, including advanced use of MS Office applications and CRM systems.
