Okalang Law Chambers carries out legal services as a firm of Advocates, Solicitors, Legal Consultants, Legal Investment and Tax Consultants, Commissioners for Oaths, Trademark and Patent Agents, Receivers, Liquidators, General insolvency practitioners and Company secretaries.
Job Summary: This is a full-time on-site role for a Business Development Manager at Okalang Law Chambers in Uganda. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing growth strategies, identifying new business opportunities, building client relationships, and overseeing marketing initiatives.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a social media strategy to enhance the firm’s online presence and engagement
- Update and maintain the firm’s website, social media handles, and online directories to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Research and identify bid opportunities, prepare, submit bids, and track bid results
- Develop and execute business development strategies to achieve firm goals
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, prospects, and industry partners
- Collaborate with advocates to develop marketing materials, proposals, and presentations
- Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and client needs to inform business development strategies
- Manage and track business development metrics, including pipeline growth and conversion rates
- Coordinate events, seminars, and webinars to promote the firm’s services
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
Experience:
- 3+ years of business development experience in a law firm or professional services environment
- Experience with website management and social media marketing
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth and developing successful business development strategies
- Proven work experience in business development or sales
Skills:
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients
- Knowledge of legal services or the legal industry is a plus
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing
- Knowledge of the legal industry and current market trends
