JOB DETAILS:
Job Purpose:
To identify and respond to new business opportunities as well as manage the fulfillment of client requirements.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
• Develop an annual business plan for products and services to inform business strategy and decision making.
• Develop proposals with solutions that effectively respond to client needs and requests; liaise with internal and external stakeholders and follow through to meet submission deadlines.
• Use business acumen and best judgment to determine appropriate follow up mechanisms to close business with new and existing clients.
• Identify and quantify clients’ Clearing, Forwarding & Logistics requirements and manage their fulfilment throughout the CLIENT value chain.
• Maintain relationships with clients by obtaining feedback, resolving concerns, as well as providing support, information, and guidance.
• Effectively communicate with client target audiences including clients, partners, and suppliers through appropriate channels in line with the company policies and procedures.
• Write and present monthly reports on client needs, new business solutions and challenges in line with the department’s standard operating procedures.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
• The ideal candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree in Sales & Marketing, Business Development, Business Administration, Procurement and Supply Chain, or any other related course from a recognizable institution.
• The candidate must have demonstrable business development experience.
• At least 2 years’ experience in such a role
• Prior experience working with a Clearing, Forwarding & Logistics entity is an advantage.
• Demonstrable experience and proficiency in market research analysis and product development.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Strong and demonstrable sales and business acumen-ship.
• An initiator with strong perseverance and the ability to motivate and manage a team.
