Q-Sourcing Limited trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in the countries of Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and South Sudan.

On behalf of our client, we are looking for a competent, skilled and experienced Business Development Associate to work in Uganda.

Job Purpose:
The BDA plays a vital role in building and maintaining strong relationships with customers in the transport and logistics industry. The BDA will work closely with customers to understand their needs, identify potential opportunities for growth, and build strategies to ensure customer satisfaction. The BDA is responsible for maintaining a high level of customer retention and promoting the company’s brand.

Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and customer relationships.
  • Conduct regular check-ins with customers to ensure their needs are being met and identify any potential issues or areas for improvement.
  • Drive sales and growth opportunities with existing customers by upselling, cross-selling, and promoting new services.
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as operations, finance, commercial and marketing to ensure smooth execution of customer activities.
  • Monitor and analyze customer’s consumption patterns to develop tailored solutions and innovative ideas that drive measurable results.
  • Manage customer accounts, contracts, and SLAs, ensuring compliance with established terms and conditions.
  • Prepare regular reports and forecasts on customer’s performance, trends, and market changes.
  • Keep up to date with industry trends and competitive insight to inform strategic decisions.
  • Attend industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events to further build relationships with existing and potential customers.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 5+ years of Sales & Marketing experience within the logistics or transportation industry.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with supply chain and logistics concepts.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize workload.
  • Ability to drive a vehicle.
