JOB DETAILS:
Building Tomorrow enhances Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) skills for Primary school-age children through community-powered learning
Through Teaching at Right Level (TaRL)-inspired methodologies, Building Tomorrow has enrolled over 500,000 learners since 2014, supported by 400 graduates and 250 serving fellows to improve FLN skills, alongside parents, teachers, and local government leaders.
We are calling for applications for Cohort 11 Fellows to support FLN skills improvements in the following districts:
Kibaale, Mubende, Kyegegwa, Nakasongola, Masindi, Butebo, Kumi, Ngora, Kibuku, Pallisa, Budaka, Kyankwanzi, Amuru, Adjumani, Butalejja, Kikuube, Oyam, Kole, Apac, Amolatar, Alebtong, Dokolo, and Otuke.

The Building Tomorrow Fellows program is highly selective and offers young leaders the opportunity to practice and hone skills in leadership whilst supporting rural communities' access to quality and inclusive education over a period of 2 years.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
1. Passionate about community development with a desire to create social impact
2. Possess a passion for education equality, creative ingenuity, a relentless work ethic, and a belief in collaboratively engaging with others.
3. Strictly aged 25 years and below, with no more than 2 years of post-university training.
4. Commit to complete 24 months of the leadership journey with strict compliance to the Building Tomorrow Code of Conduct.
5. Able to ride a motorcycle to navigate rural communities and willing to relocate to the rural districts listed.
6. Hold a certified Bachelor’s degree in any field from a recognized University or higher institution of learning, as well as national ID, passport, or other identifier
7. Able to speak the local language(s) in one of the districts listed.
8. Strong communication and demonstrated leadership skills, and a high degree of emotional intelligence.
9. Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office essentials.
10. Familiar with the use of smart devices such as phones and tablets.
