Job Summary: The key purpose of this role is to maintain, calibrate, repair equipment, optimize plant and associated devices to ensure plant availability and product quality.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Calibrate the equipment according to good maintenance practice.
  • Assess proper functioning of instrumentation equipment and request for repair or replacement in case of need.
  • Assess nature of repair on instrumentation depending on nature of defect as quick fix or replacement.
  • Negotiate stoppage of machines with line team leaders to avoid more unnecessary down time and equipment damage.
  • Stop the machine if it appears to endanger safety of the operational team.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards in his area of operation.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• HND or equivalent in (Electrical or Instrumentation)
• Millwright or Electromechanical Artisan
• 3 – 6 months on the job training plus Vendor Maintenance
• 6 – 9 months on the job plus Siemens S7 PLC Training
• Routine electrical and instrumentation maintenance on similar
• Brewing and utilities plants.
