JOB DETAILS:
The Brand Manager (Wellness) is responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with media houses, external companies, community partners, and other stakeholders to enhance the visibility and impact of our services and products & more. This role involves coordinating wellness speaking events, managing partnerships, overseeing media outreach efforts, and representing the organisation in various external engagements to support business growth and brand awareness.
Key Responsibilities
- Media Relations & Outreach:
Build and nurture relationships with journalists, editors, influencers, and media outlets to secure coverage and positive publicity for Dr. Kasenene. Manage press releases, media kits, and other communications materials. - Event Coordination & Management:
Plan, organize, and manage wellness speaking engagements, workshops, seminars, and public events. Coordinate logistics, speaker invitations, venue arrangements, promotions, and follow-up activities. - Partnership Development & Management:
Identify potential external partners, including corporate sponsors, wellness organizations, community groups, and vendors. Cultivate and maintain these partnerships to create collaboration opportunities that align with our goals. - Brand Representation:
Act as the face and voice of the organisation in external forums, conferences, and networking events. Maintain a positive brand image and ensure consistent messaging about wellness offerings. - Strategic Outreach Planning:
Develop and implement outreach strategies targeting media, partners, and communities to expand the organisation’s reach and influence in the wellness space. - Stakeholder Communication:
Maintain regular communication with partners, media contacts, and stakeholders to keep them informed about updates, events, and collaboration opportunities from us. - Monitoring & Reporting:
Track and report on outreach activities, media coverage, partnership progress, and event outcomes. Use insights to refine strategies and improve impact.
- Media Relations & Outreach:
Qualifications
- Certificate or above in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Health & Wellness, Business Administration, or a related field or something self-taught.
- Ideally, 3 months plus of experience in media relations, partnership management, event coordination, or external affairs—preferably within the wellness, healthcare, or related sectors or ability to learn.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
- Proven experience managing events from planning through execution, or ability to learn.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
- Proficiency with CRM software, media databases, and common office productivity tools.
- Passion for wellness and commitment to promoting health-focused initiatives.
