JOB DETAILS:
Norvik Group is looking for a Branch Manager for one of its branches located in Uganda. We are looking for vibrant, aggressive, flexible, competitive and trustworthy executive to help us build up our business activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing branch personnel, supervising branch operations, and ensuring efficient operation on a day-to-day basis. Improving productivity and streamlining branch activities to maximize results and achieve peak performance levels.
Core Responsibilities:
- Effective stock management, ensuring timely monthly stock taking and reporting. Entirely responsible for any stock variance and / or expired goods.
- Sales and Purchase management. Developing and implementing sales plans, conducting regular sales and operations meetings and ensure all purchases are handled according to Norvik purchase policy.
- Establishes sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales benchmarks for the branch and territories; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products.
- Assessing market conditions and identifying opportunities, drafting forecasts and business plans geared at generating sales.
- Inventory management. Supervise the flow of the products from delivery to stores and from these facilities to point of sale. Ensure a detailed record of each new or returned product as it enters or leaves a warehouse or point of sale is kept, for future monitoring purposes.
- Profitability Management. Develop a profitability track system to ascertain the profitability pattern over time and deal with the discrepancies as soon as possible.
- Debt Recovery management. Responsible for communicating and collecting overdue receivables using internal collection mechanisms, while acting in a professional manner.
- Adhere to Daily, Weekly and Monthly submissions as may be requested by Head Office.
- Responsible for managing the branch’s MIS (Management information System) and periodically generate and run reports as may be deemed necessary.
- Interacting with customers on a regular basis to ensure satisfaction and gain useful feedback.
- Resolving customer problems as and when they arise.
- Managing budgets, allocating branch funds, and defining financial objectives
- Handle the overall administration of Branch, including;
- Statutory Requirements e.g. License renewal, National Drug Authority audits
- Organizing and executing training programs for branch personnel
- Management of the staff welfare and other Human Resource related functions
- Evaluating employee performance and providing feedback and coaching as needed
- Coordinating with other branches to share knowledge, plan promotional activities, or achieve goals
- Ensure compliance to all the local applicable laws and regulation concerning the industry of operation within Uganda.
- Adhering to high ethical and professional standards

Qualifications | |
Education and experience | - Minimum of a Bachelors degree of Business administration, Statistics, Marketing or any other related field. • Master’s degree in the same field is an added advantage • Minimum of two years’ work experience with a proven job growth. • On-job training in the same position within a busy environment. |
