JOB PURPOSE
Under the supervision of the Regional Manager, the Branch Manager will provide leadership and oversight for the implementation of branch-level project activities. She/he will coach, mentor, and supervise Project Officers in planning and implementing all activities under the SPLASH project in the branch. She/he will represent BRAC in all sector engagements in the assigned settlement
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support community mapping, identification and selection of ECD centres, child profiling and survey activities, selection of government primary schools, and coordination with local stakeholders to facilitate smooth programme implementation.
- Lead branch-level planning, implementation, and supervision of all project activities
- Develop and monitor branch-level work plans and track progress with clear targets and timelines
- Ensure timely and quality implementation of health, SEND, ECD, School Transition, and MHPSS interventions.
- Oversee branch-level budgets and ensure efficient use of project resources.
- Review and approve project expenditures in line with organizational procedures.
- Ensure proper management of project assets and logistics.
- Support procurement and operational planning for project activities.
- Supervise and support Project Officers, Community Facilitators, and other project staff.
- Monitor the performance of Project Officers and ensure adherence to technical standards
- Support capacity building and mentorship of project officers, educators, VHTs and project participants
- Review and validate project data and reports submitted by field staff.
- Monitor progress against project indicators and targets.
- Ensure high-quality data collection, reporting, and utilization for decision-making
- Build and maintain relationships with District Local Government, Partners, and community stakeholders
- Represent BRAC at the settlement level and participate in coordination forums
- Conduct regular field visits, supervision, and spot checks
- Facilitate regular team meetings to review progress and address implementation challenges.
- Ensure safeguarding and child protection policies are implemented across all project activities.
- Identify and mitigate operational and programmatic risks.
- Respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns and ensure timely reporting.
- Implementation of BRAC vision, mission, values, and policies, including an effective safeguarding policy.
- Practice, promote, and enforce BRAC policies, including safeguarding, FRAUD, Financial, and HRPP among team members
- Ensure a safe working environment for staff and participants
- Any other duties that may be assigned by the Regional Manager
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in education / ECD, Public health, social science/Development studies /management/Business administration. A postgraduate diploma in related fields is an added advantage
- Minimum 3+ years protessional experience in implementing integrated programmes with a strong background in supervision, leadership, and community development. Experience working in humanitarian settings will be an added advantage
