  Key Result Areas:

Compliance and Regulatory Functions

  • Ensure 100% compliance with Branch Operations, policies and procedures of the Bank.
  • Ensure closure of Audit and Compliance findings in the Branch through collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders
  • Develop and implement action plans for maintaining acceptable RAC score in all Branches.
  • Participate and suggest process review to enhance exceptional operations in the Branches.
  • Liaise with Risk, Audit and Compliance departments to identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk, develop and implement corrective action plans for resolution within Branches.
  • Ensure that Branches have well established and effective compliance and ethics programs, to prevent and detect violations of regulatory and internal policies and procedures.
  • Champion and monitor effective cascading/staff training of all relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures within the Branches in accordance with the bank’s compliance strategy.

   Risk Management:

  • Track and improve compliance with regulatory requirements by implementing new policies and procedures, resulting in a 100% pass rate on all audits.
  • Enforced regular maintenance and spot checks as well as quick follow-up on equipment or facility repairs which ensured smooth running of the branches
  • Mitigate risks and build efficiencies by conducting frequent process reviews.
  • Proposed corrective actions that meet challenges and leverage growth opportunities.
  • Effectively managed vendor risk and updated management monthly on the status of the vendor performance.

Administrative

  • Ensure consolidation of all Branch reports required in relation to stakeholder requirements.
  • Ensure productivity reports in Branches are consolidated and ready for use when needed.
  • Support the Branches organize and plan events (Team building, regional meetings etc)

People Management

  • Manage and ensure implementation of training plan for Branches.
  • Train Branch staff on products, policies and procedures
  • Develop and implement a Leave tracker for all Branch staff.
  • Identifying staffing needs and coordinating with your immediate supervisor and Human Resources department.
  • Training to build competency, designing courses and conducting training where required.
  • Support embed the succession bench strength on every branch.

Skills and qualification

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or business-related disciplines from a recognized university.

  • 5 years’ overall experience in banking, of which 2 years must be in a supervisory role.
  • Good understanding of Ecobank products and services.
  • Good understanding of the risk land scape.
  • Excellent communications skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Good knowledge of MS office suite
  • Multiple branch management experience required
  • High energy, results-oriented, and work well in a team environment
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making and financial management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and networking skills, internally and externally.
  • Cultural awareness
  • Work with minimum supervision
  • Demonstrate a good level of maturity
