Job Description/Requirements
Job description of a Branch Accountant (BA)
- Checking loan application form making sure it is properly approved by Branch Manager, disbursing loan to the actual client, realizing installments from Credit officers & Field Officers.
- Disbursing loan to the right client by doing necessary due diligence I.e.: confirming with NID, Master roll& Loan application form.
- Accurately process and book supplier invoices into the financial system, maintaining up-to-date records to avoid delays or penalties.
- Ensure invoices receive proper approvals before processing payments, confirming expenditures are authorized and within budget.
- Conducting month closing operations by posting necessary vouchers & adjustments.
- Oversee petty cash disbursements and reimbursements, maintaining accurate records, reconciling regularly, and reporting discrepancies as needed.
- Provide timely support during internal and external audits by preparing and submitting necessary accounts payable records and documentation.
- Cash withdraw from Bank as per preformulated fund plan & excess cash deposit to bank or agent & taking all liability for safe transit of the fund.
- Keeping Loan forms, cashbook, office files, client files, circulars & policies in safe custody to comply with Data privacy policy
- Perform any other duty as may be assigned from time to time by the supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Academic qualifications for the Branch Accountant should be Bachelor of Accounting and Finance or relevant field.
- At least 1 year of relevant experience.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
- Sound knowledge of accounting principles and tax regulations.
