Overview:

Mustard Bridge Foundation Uganda is a dynamic and growing organization committed to promoting entrepreneurship and community development in Uganda. We are seeking passionate and committed individuals to join our Board of Directors on a volunteer basis. Board members will play an essential role in contributing their expertise, time, and resources to help drive the foundation’s mission of fostering a creative, knowledge-based entrepreneurial economy in Uganda.

Responsibilities:

As a Volunteer Board Member, you will be expected to:
Provide Strategic Oversight:Actively participate in the development and implementation of the organization’s vision, mission, and strategic objectives.Contribute to decision-making on key organizational matters.Help to assess the organization's performance and impact in meeting its goals.

Contribute Work Force: Engage in hands-on involvement in the foundation’s programs and activities.Attend and support the execution of events, training workshops, and community initiatives.

Provide Financial Support: Offer financial contributions to the organization’s projects and campaigns (either directly or through fundraising efforts).Assist in securing funding through networking and establishing connections with potential donors, grants, and partnerships.

Lend Expertise and Mentorship:

Share your professional expertise, whether in business, law, finance, social work, or another relevant area, to guide the foundation’s initiatives.Serve as a mentor to beneficiaries of the foundation’s programs, providing training, advice, and support to entrepreneurs and community members.

Supervisory Roles: Monitor and oversee the progress of the foundation’s projects.Ensure that all activities are aligned with the foundation’s goals, remain sustainable, and are effectively managed.

Regular Participation: Attend weekly, monthly and special board meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and opportunities.

Actively participate in board discussions and decision-making processes.

Accountability and Reporting: Ensure transparency and accountability in all organizational activities.Work closely with fellow board members to uphold ethical and operational standards.

Foster Partnerships: Help build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, private organizations, community leaders, and international partners.

Qualifications:

Passionate about community development, entrepreneurship, and economic empowerment.Prior experience in business management, finance, non-profit management, law, education, or any relevant field is preferred.

Strong communication and leadership skills.

Ability to commit to a minimum of 2 years on the board.

Willingness to contribute financially and support fundraising efforts.

Available to attend meetings regularly and actively participate in the organization’s activities.
