Position

NHS Ayrshire & Arran HB, Public Dental Service is looking to offer 2 x Bank Receptionist posts to work within the Out of Hours Emergency Dental Service.

What You Will Do

You will provide reception duties and administrative support to the Emergency Dental Service based at Ayrshire Central Hospital.

You will undertake reception of patients, make appointments, and deal with all paperwork and patient payments.

You should be flexible covering available shifts as and when they arise.

Knowledge, Training And/or Experience Required To Do The Job

You will be educated Standard Grade level or equivalent plus, previous clerical/secretarial experience.

You must also have proven numeracy, keyboard and verbal skills as well as a good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel packages are essential.

Due to the challenging and busy environment of the Emergency Dental Service, you should have excellent organisational skills as well as highly developed communication and interpersonal skills.

Full driving licence, and access to a motor vehicle is essential.

Full training will be provided on the use of dental computer systems.

Bank - Weekend sessions run Saturday and Sunday – 4 Hours of sessions
