Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Kampala for an Audit Specialist. The Audit Specialist will undertake audits of financial records and statements, evaluate business operations and internal controls, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards. The individual will be responsible for preparing audit reports, identifying discrepancies or risk areas, and recommending corrective actions to enhance financial accuracy and operational efficiency. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and timely reporting are essential aspects of this role.
We are looking for an Audit Specialist who can drive internal controls, ensure regulatory compliance, and support strategic decision-making through accurate financial insights.
Qualifications
- Strong Analytical Skills to identify discrepancies, assess risks, and evaluate business operations
- Effective Communication skills to present findings clearly and work collaboratively with internal teams
- Proficiency in Finance and Financial Statements for in-depth analysis and maintaining accuracy
- Knowledge and experience of Auditing principles, practices, and standards
- A keen attention to detail and the ability to work independently
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is a plus
- Previous auditing experience in a corporate environment is highly desirable
