Duration: 6 months (fixed-term, deliverables-based)

1. Contract Type – Short-term contract, extendable based on organizational needs and available resources.
2. Position Overview
We are looking for an Associate Developer to join our engineering team. This entry-level role is ideal for someone eager to grow their career in software development, with a strong interest in backend systems but also the flexibility to contribute to frontend projects. You will work under the guidance of senior engineers and collaborate across teams to deliver scalable, user-friendly applications. This role will begin on a part-time basis, with potential transition to full-time subject to company needs and resources.
3. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs.
- Contribute to frontend development tasks using modern frameworks.
- Assist in database design, optimization, and query performance tuning.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Collaborate with product managers, QA engineers, and other developers to deliver features end-to-end.
- Support integration of backend services with frontend applications and third-party systems.
- Continuously learn and apply new technologies across the stack.
4. Reporting Structure
- Reports To: CTO
- Works With: Product Managers, QA Engineers, Frontend & Backend Developers
- Supervises: None (entry-level role, focused on learning and contributing)
5. Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proficiency in at least one backend language (Python, Node.js, C#).
- Familiarity with frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React or Angular).
- Understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, and server-side frameworks.
- Basic knowledge of relational (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and/or NoSQL databases.
- Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn.
6. Preferred Skills
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
- Experience with Docker/Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
- Awareness of backend and frontend security best practices.
