Our client Industrial Security Services Ltd was established in 1996 and is based in Jinja, Uganda. Industrial Security Services Ltd is the leading Regional security provider for technology-driven security solution.

Industrial Security Services Ltd is looking for a competent and experienced Assistant Manager – Security to be based in Jinja, Uganda.
Reports To: Security Manager
Duty Station: Jinja, Uganda

Job Summary: This is a technical role which involves supporting the daily management and operations of the team, helping to ensure the effective delivery of security services to clients. This role involves supervising security personnel, coordinating with clients, and assisting in the development and implementation of security protocols. The Assistant Manager – Security shall work closely with the Security Manager to handle administrative tasks, manage client relationships, and ensure that security operations meet industry standards and client expectations.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
1. Assist in overseeing the day-to-day operations of security personnel, including scheduling, deployment, and performance management.
2. Assists in the supervision of Security Officers on assigned shift.

3. Support the Security Manager in implementing security protocols and ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
4. Supervise and provide guidance to security guards, monitoring their performance and addressing any issues that arise.

5. Coordinate with clients to ensure that security services meet their needs and expectations, handling any concerns or feedback.

6. Assist in conducting risk assessments and recommending security measures for client sites.
7. Manage administrative tasks such as preparing reports, maintaining records, and handling security-related documentation.
8. Assist in recruitment, training, and development of security personnel to ensure a skilled and motivated workforce.

9. Respond to security incidents and emergencies, coordinating the appropriate response and reporting as necessary.
10. Ensure compliance of applicable policies and regulations while implementing security measures.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
1. Bachelor's degree in a related field.
2. Understanding of the security protocols, risk management and regulatory compliance.
3. At least 3-5 years post qualification experience in a supervisory or managerial role with in the security industry.
4. Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively.
5. Excellent management skills.
6. Excellent communication skills.
7. Strong leadership skills.
8. Strong knowledge of security protocols.

Barriers to Success in Role
• Limited or lack of technical knowledge about security protocols.
• Inability to work night shift.
