Role Overview
We are seeking a talented Architect to join our small, dynamic team in Kampala Central. This position plays a critical role in planning and designing structures that meet both functional and aesthetic needs. You will collaborate closely with clients and specialists to ensure projects are completed to the highest standards. We value detail-oriented, analytical thinkers who are innovative and adaptable, ready to tackle challenges in a supportive work environment.

Position Details

• Employment Type: Full-time
• Location/Work Arrangement: On-site, Kampala Central
• Reporting Structure: Reports to Supervisor

Key Responsibilities
• Develop final construction plans that include aesthetic representations of the structure or details for its construction.
• Prepare scale drawings or architectural designs, using computer-aided design or other tools.

• Consult with clients to determine functional or spatial requirements of structures.

• Monitor the work of specialists, such as electrical engineers and interior designers, to ensure optimal function of designs.

• Integrate engineering elements into unified architectural designs.

• Prepare information regarding design, structure specifications, materials, costs, or construction time.

Requirements
Essential Qualifications
• Education Requirements: Post-secondary Diploma in Architecture or related fields
• Required Experience: 1-2 years in architectural design

• Mandatory Skills: Critical Thinking, Monitoring, Judgment and Decision Making, Mathematics, Time Management
• Required Technical Knowledge: Proficient in Adobe Suite, CAD software (Civil 3D, ArchCAD, Google SketchUp), Microsoft Office Suite, and Internet browsers.
• Required Certifications/Licenses: N/A
• Language Requirements: N/A
• Preferred Qualifications
• Desired Additional Skills: Time Management, Judgment and Decision Making, Complex Problem Solving
• Beneficial Experience: Experience in planning layouts for architectural projects
