Job Purpose
To facilitate deliveries and provide nursing care to mothers and their babies.
Key Outputs
i. Patients received; admissions, deliveries, discharges and deaths registered;
ii. Antenatal care carried out;
iii. High risk cases for referral identified;
iv. Provide care during labour with emphasis to prevention of complications to mother and baby;
v. Care during puerperium provided;
vi. Mothers sensitized about benefits of breast feeding and recommended diet;
vii. Bedside nursing procedures carried out;
viii.Medical supplies and sundries requisitioned and accounted for;
ix. Staff supervised and appraised; and
x. Daily ward reports compiled and submitted

Education Requirements
Must be registered and licensed with the Nurses and Midwives Council.
