JOB DETAILS:

Kakira Outgrower Development Fund (KORD) seeks to recruit a dynamic, competent, and experienced Ugandan national for the position of Administrative Manager with the following responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Report to KORD’s Board (consisting of Sugar Factory and Outgrower representatives), with overall responsibility for the initiative.
    • Develop a strategy for KORD that outlines the organization’s approach to meeting Outgrower and community needs.
    • Provide day-to-day operational leadership for the organization, including managing a team of 2-4 professionals and raising finance from donors and government.
    • Oversee project selection and implementation.

Knowledge, Qualifications, and Experience: Education:

  • University degree in Administration, Engineering, Finance, Agricultural or Social Sciences, or other relevant fields.

Experience, Skills, and Competencies:

  • Minimum of five years of professional work experience as a senior manager in the civil society, private, or public sector, ideally within the infrastructure industry in Uganda.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English; fluency in the local language is an added advantage.
  • Versatility, judgment, maturity, and the ability to work both in a team and independently.
  • Good reputation and credibility with Local Government officials and the community as a whole.
  • Experience in agribusiness within Uganda is an added advantage.
  • Age: Above 40 years.
