Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Reporting and Analysis:
   • Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
   • Conduct regular financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings or revenue enhancement.
   • Provide management with timely and accurate financial reports and insights to support decision-making.
2. General Accounting:
   • Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
   • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
   • Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies.
3. Automotive Financing:
   • Oversee financing operations, including loan processing, customer credit evaluations, and contract management.
   • Monitor and manage the dealership’s floor plan financing.
   • Collaborate with sales and finance teams to ensure seamless transaction processing and customer satisfaction.
4. Inventory Management:
   • Track and manage vehicle inventory, including costing and depreciation.
   • Coordinate with the sales team to ensure accurate and timely recording of vehicle sales and related financial transactions.
5. Tax Compliance:
   • Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
   • Stay current with tax laws and regulations affecting the automotive industry.
6. Internal Controls and Process Improvement:
   • Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
   • Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the automotive or finance industry.
• Strong understanding of automotive financing, loan processing, and credit evaluation.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in financial reporting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
