Accountant and Administrator at Jolis ICT Academy
Jolis ICT Academy is looking for a meticulous and dependable Accountant and Administrator to oversee day-to-day financial operations and support administrative functions essential for delivering exceptional ICT training and services. This dual-role position requires a highly organized individual with a strong grasp of accounting practices and a proactive approach to administrative coordination.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting Duties
- Maintain accurate financial records, including income, expenditures, and budgeting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Reconcile bank statements and manage petty cash
- Process payments, invoices, and payroll with diligence
- Monitor financial transactions related to student tuition, software service payments, and vendor contracts
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies
Administrative Duties
- Support admission processes, maintain student records, and manage documentation
- Coordinate staff schedules, meetings, and training sessions
- Manage inventory of office supplies and academy resources
- Liaise with internal departments to ensure operational efficiency
- Maintain organized filing systems and digital records
- Assist with event coordination, communications, and general office management

- Financial Management: Oversee all financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting to ensure transparency and accountability.
- Student Financial Services: Handle tuition fee collections, refunds, and financial aid documentation, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Vendor and Procurement Management: Manage relationships with vendors, negotiate contracts, and ensure cost-effective procurement of goods and services.
- Compliance and Audits: Ensure adherence to local financial regulations and prepare for internal and external audits.
- Administrative Leadership: Provide administrative support to the leadership team, including preparing reports, managing correspondence, and coordinating meetings.
- Technology Integration: Utilize ICT tools and software to enhance financial and administrative efficiency, aligning with the academy’s tech-driven environment.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- Proven experience in bookkeeping and office administration
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and MS Office Suite
- Strong attention to detail, integrity, and discretion
- Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time management skills
- Knowledge of ICT environments or educational institutions is a plus
