Role Overview
We are looking for a dedicated Accountant to join our team in Kampala. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for examining and interpreting accounting records to prepare comprehensive financial statements. You will work closely with a team of four and report directly to the General Manager, contributing to key financial decisions that drive our company's success.

Position Details
• Employment Type: Full-time - Location: Kampala, On-site - Reporting Structure: Reports to the General Manager

Key Responsibilities
1. Prepare detailed reports on audit findings. 2. Report to management about asset utilization and audit results, recommending operational and financial changes. 3. Inspect account books and accounting systems for efficiency and compliance with accepted procedures. 4. Confer with company officials regarding financial and regulatory matters. 5. Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records and financial statements to assess accuracy and completeness. 6. Review accounts for discrepancies and reconcile differences.

Requirements
Essential Qualifications
• Education: Post-secondary Diploma in Accounting or related fields. - Experience: 1-2 years in an accounting role. - Required Skills: Proficient in speaking and writing, judgment and decision making, coordination, and time management. - Knowledge Areas: Strong understanding of economics and accounting, administration and management, customer service, and computer technology. - Required Technology Knowledge: Familiarity with financial analysis software (ERP) and accounting software. - Language Proficiency: Fluent in English.

Preferred Qualifications
o Certifications: CPA is a plus. - Skills: Additional skills in accounting and finance are an advantage.
