Job Type: Full-time
Job Summary:
The accountant is responsible for preparing and examining financial records, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations. This role involves performing various accounting duties, including financial statement preparation, budgeting, and financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
• Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Accounting and Bookkeeping: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, prepare journal entries, and perform account analysis.

• Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts, and analyze variances.

• Financial Analysis: Perform financial analysis, including ratio analysis, trend analysis, and benchmarking.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, laws, and regulations, such as URA, URSB, tax laws, and financial reporting requirements.

• Audits and Reviews: Assist in preparing for audits and reviews, and respond to auditor inquiries.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and submit financial reports to management, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.

• Account Reconciliations: Reconcile company accounts, including bank statements, credit cards, and other financial statements.
• Accounts Payable and Receivable: Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring accurate and timely processing.

• Special Projects: Perform special projects, such as financial modeling, process improvements, and internal control evaluations.
• BIDS : Buying News papers every Tuesday and Thursday for Bids, applying and follow up to securing them
• URA / TAX Returns filling , NSSF, URSB returns and Documentations.
• Quotations, Invoices, receipts etc

Requirements:
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field. Professional certification (CPA, CA, ACCA) preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a similar industry.

Skills:
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations
• Proficient in accounting software, such as QuickBooks, Xero, or SAP
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
