Job Summary:
We are seeking an analytical and experienced Finance Manager who will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of an organization's financial health, including budgeting, financial reporting, forecasting, analysis, and compliance. This role requires someone who has a knack for numbers with the ability to provide strategic financial guidance to senior management to make informed business decisions. We are a farmer centric business and require that you spend at least one working day of the week in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement) to senior management, including analysis of key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop annual and monthly sales budgets, track budget against actual, and create financial forecasts to identify potential risks and opportunities.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, assess profitability, and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Cost Management: Implement cost-control measures and identify areas for cost reduction – process payments as required.
- Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow, manage working capital, and ensure adequate liquidity.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevant financial regulations and accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).
- Revenue Management: Lead the attainment of revenue and profit targets proactively.
- Inventory Management: Manage and account for inventory and develop controls to close gaps.
- Internal Controls: Establish and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard assets and prevent fraud.
- Stakeholder Communication: Communicate financial information effectively to stakeholders, including senior management, investors, and board members.
- Compliance Requirements: Filing and processing tax returns in a timely fashion. Ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent professional designation preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High levels of integrity and professionalism
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Proficiency in financial software and accounting systems
- Experience managing teams and budgets
- Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and accounting standards
- Willingness to relocate to Kayunga District.
Salary range is Ugx 1.5M - 2M/=
