Reports to: Senior Accountant

Job Summary:

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage and ensure the accuracy of our financial records, compliance with accounting principles, and efficient handling

of payroll and statutory returns. The ideal candidate will have a background in business, accounting, or finance, and possess strong communication skills and respect for people and property.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Compliance and Reconciliation:

• Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
• Document all financial transactions accurately and timely.

2. Financial Reporting:

• Provide weekly sales and expense reports.
• Maintain accurate financial reports.

3. Accounting Systems:

• Demonstrate knowledge of Tally (preferred) and QuickBooks (added advantage).
• Maintain accurate records for accounts payable and receivable.
• Maintain accurate stock records on EFRIS.

4. Statutory and Payroll Management:

• Ability to file statutory monthly returns for NSSF and URA.
• Manage staff payroll efficiently.
• Reconcile petty cash transactions.

5. Stock Management:

• Perform weekly stock counts and ensure that records are properly maintained.

6. Communication and Multi-tasking:

• Communicate effectively and multi-task with different supervisors and departments.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration (BBA), Commerce (BCOM), Accounting and Finance, or any related business course.
• Good communication skills.
• Respect for people and property.
• Knowledge of EFRIS.
• Experience in using accounting software such as Tally and QuickBooks.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and communicate effectively with different supervisors.

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, preferably within the hospitality industry.
