Position Overview
The Accountant will play a vital role in overseeing the firm’s accounting functions and assisting the Managing Partner in the strategic and operational leadership of the firm. This position requires a skilled and dedicated professional with a solid accounting and financial management background. The ideal candidate will be capable of managing financial tasks while contributing to the firm’s overall strategy and growth.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting and Financial Management
• Oversee accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and reports.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.
• Manage cash flow, financial planning, and budgeting processes.
• Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions and strategic planning.
Tax Planning and Management
• Manage all aspects of tax planning, compliance, and reporting.
• Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns and other statutory requirements.
• Provide strategic tax advice to optimize the firm’s tax position and minimize liabilities.
• Ensure all tax accounts are fully reconciled.
Business Development
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the firm’s client base and service offerings.
• Build strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and partners.
• Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
Operational Management
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department to ensure efficiency and productivity.
• Implement and improve accounting systems, processes, and technologies to enhance operational performance.
• Develop and manage departmental budgets and resource allocation.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification required.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting and financial management.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws.
• Proven experience in business development and operational management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High level of integrity, ethics, and professionalism.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
