Job Summary:   The Accountant at Inch Industries Ltd plays an essential role in supporting financial operations, budget management, financial reporting, and compliance. This position assists the Managing Director in achieving the company’s strategic financial objectives.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting Assistance:

  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports, such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Provide data and support for financial analysis and reporting.

Budget Support:

  • Contribute to the company’s annual budgeting process, including data collection and analysis.
  • Assist in monitoring budget performance and report any variances.

Data Analysis:

  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and potential areas for cost-saving.
  • Provide input for financial forecasts and projections.

Risk Management Support:

  • Assist in identifying and assessing financial risks.
  • Support the implementation of risk mitigation strategies and adherence to risk management policies.

Cash Flow Monitoring:

  • Contribute to cash flow management, including tracking daily cash balances and cash flow projections.
  • Provide input to manage cash flow fluctuations and maintain financial stability.

Compliance and Reporting Assistance:

  • Assist in ensuring compliance with financial regulations and reporting standards.
  • Participate in the preparation and submission of financial reports to regulatory authorities.

Tax Compliance Support:

  • Support tax planning and compliance efforts, including the preparation of tax returns.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date tax records.

Audit Support:

  • Provide assistance during financial audits and reviews, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  • Support the maintenance of internal controls to safeguard financial assets.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Progress toward a professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus.
  • Some experience in finance, accounting, or related roles is beneficial.
  • Basic knowledge of financial regulations, tax laws, and compliance standards.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities
