JOB DETAILS:

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for preparing, posting, and entering payment vouchers as well as adjustment vouchers.
• Reconciling control accounts and reporting any anomalies to the Senior Accountant.
• Responsible for the management of the University payroll.
• Reviewing of the monthly trial balances to ensure that all entries made into an organization’s general ledger are properly balanced.
• Providing training and supervision of all account’s personnel
• Ensuring the safety of documents relating to the office.
• In charge of managing the College budget.
• Carrying out routine bank reconciliations.
• Responsible for reconciling cash and petty cash floats.
• Any other official duty as may be assigned by the Supervisor from time to time.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• Must have a full professional accounting qualification in ACCA, CPA or CIA.
• Must be a holder of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with bias in Accounting or Finance, or any other related Accounting and Finance Degree obtained from a recognized institution of higher learning.
• Should have at least three (3) years’ related work experience in a recognized institution.
• Must be a good team player.
• Knowledge of computer accounting packages like Pastel, SAP is a MUST.
• Must have a high level of confidentiality.
• Ability to work under minimal supervision.
• Must be a mature and practicing Christian.
