2. Role Overview

We are looking for a Sales Manager – ELV & Security Systems for Smart Communities & Smart Buildings, East Africa to support SolutionMall’s business development in ELV, security, and smart building system projects across East African markets.

This role is suitable for professionals with experience in B2B sales, business development, channel development, system integration sales, security systems, CCTV, access control, structured cabling, network infrastructure, smart buildings, smart communities, ELV systems, or project-based solution sales.

The role focuses on developing local customers, system integrators, contractors, distributors, project owners, developers, and channel partners; identifying real project needs; following up on RFQs; promoting suitable ELV and security solutions; and helping SolutionMall expand smart community and smart building project opportunities in East Africa.

This is not a simple product retail sales role. It is a B2B solution-oriented role focused on ELV systems, security systems, smart communities, smart buildings, system integration projects, contractors, developers, and long-term regional cooperation.

The ideal candidate should be able to support:

3. Key Responsibilities

Customer and Channel Development

Develop customer and channel opportunities across East Africa, including:

  • Smart community projects
  • Smart building projects
  • Commercial buildings and office towers
  • Residential compounds and gated communities
  • Hotels, hospitals, campuses, and shopping malls
  • Industrial facilities and logistics parks
  • Infrastructure and public facility projects
  • Real estate developers
  • Facility management companies
  • System integrators
  • ELV and MEP contractors
  • Security system contractors
  • Network infrastructure contractors
  • Distributors of security, ELV, and network products

Build and maintain relationships with customers, developers, contractors, system integrators, consultants, distributors, procurement teams, and project stakeholders.

Support SolutionMall in expanding access to qualified ELV, security, smart community, and smart building project opportunities in East Africa.

ELV and Security Solution Promotion

Promote SolutionMall’s ELV and security system products and solutions, including:

  • CCTV cameras and video surveillance systems
  • NVR, VMS, and video storage systems
  • Access control systems
  • Video intercom systems
  • Intrusion alarm systems
  • Network switches and communication devices
  • Structured cabling products
  • Fiber optic cables and accessories
  • Data cabinets and rack systems
  • UPS and power support products
  • Monitoring center and control room equipment
  • Smart community and smart building system integration
  • Testing tools, installation tools, and project accessories

Help customers understand how security systems, network infrastructure, cabling systems, control rooms, and smart building modules can be combined into practical solutions based on project type, site conditions, security requirements, integration needs, budget, maintenance expectations, and long-term operation goals.

RFQ and Quotation Follow-Up

Follow up with customers on project background, application scenarios, security requirements, smart community or smart building needs, network structure, cabling requirements, integration requirements, budget expectations, and delivery timelines.

Help convert early customer interest into active RFQs and practical solution discussions.

Coordinate with SolutionMall teams, suppliers, system integrators, contractors, and customers to keep qualified project opportunities moving forward.

Support product selection, solution matching, quotation communication, technical confirmation, commercial negotiation, and order-related follow-up where needed.

Market Feedback and Commercial Coordination

Share East African market insights, including:

  • Demand trends for smart communities and smart buildings
  • Common ELV and security system project requirements
  • CCTV and access control product preferences
  • Local system integration habits
  • Channel and distributor conditions
  • Competitor activity
  • Pricing sensitivity
  • Common procurement and approval processes
  • Installation and maintenance expectations
  • After-sales service requirements

Help SolutionMall improve its regional product selection, project communication, and cooperation strategy for ELV, security, smart community, and smart building system projects in East Africa.

4. Qualifications

Required

3+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • ELV systems sales
  • Security systems sales
  • CCTV surveillance systems
  • Access control systems
  • Video intercom or alarm systems
  • Structured cabling systems
  • Network infrastructure products
  • Smart building systems
  • Smart community solutions
  • System integration project sales
  • B2B technology solution sales
  • Channel or distributor development
  • RFQ and quotation follow-up

Familiar with ELV, security, or smart building system solutions and able to understand customer needs, application scenarios, product selection, solution matching, RFQ follow-up, quotation coordination, and system integrator communication.

Good communication skills and ability to develop customers, developers, contractors, consultants, system integrators, distributors, or project contacts in East Africa.

Working proficiency in English.

Preferred

  • Existing customer, contractor, channel, or system integrator resources in East Africa
  • Experience with commercial buildings, residential communities, hotels, hospitals, campuses, shopping malls, industrial facilities, infrastructure projects, or smart building projects
  • Experience with CCTV, access control, structured cabling, fiber optic products, network switches, UPS, control rooms, or smart building integration
  • Experience in RFQ follow-up, quotation coordination, project opportunity development, channel development, or contractor cooperation
  • Familiarity with East African ELV, security, smart building, MEP, construction, or system integration project ecosystems
  • Local language communication ability in East African markets is preferred
