Role Description
Kollekta Africa is scaling its business and customer engagement operations across multiple markets. Based in Kampala, Uganda, this role is responsible for growing the SaaS client base through new sales. The Account Executive is a commission-based role that conducts greater than 50% of their work outside the office.
- Contacts assigned clients and presents opportunities for additional sales and/or extended usage based on client needs.
- Identifies and secures new SaaS clients by leveraging self-generated prospecting (i.e. networks, referrals, etc.) and company-initiated prospecting programs.
- Executes all defined operational processes and requirements with excellence (i.e., designed cadences for client and prospect engagement, ongoing product and demo certifications etc.).
- Participates in sales meetings, call calibrations, and training as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sell cutting-edge tech solutions to mid-market and enterprise-level businesses
- Own the full sales cycle: outbound prospecting, pitch, negotiating, and close
- Develop and manage a sales pipeline
- Build long-term relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders
- Consistently hit/exceed monthly sales targets
Qualifications and Skills:
- 3+ years of experience in B2B sales, preferably in tech, SaaS or Financial Services
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Self-starter mentality with strong time management skills
- Comfortable working in a blended working environment
