General Summary

We are hiring a 3D UI/UX Designer to craft intuitive and visually compelling interfaces for our VR protein visualization tool. In this role, the designer will collaborate closely with VR developers to design interactive elements, optimize user workflows, and ensure a seamless VR experience. The designs will play a key role in making complex scientific data engaging and accessible within a virtual environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop 3D protein models
2. Create intuitive UI elements, menus, and interaction models that enhance the VR user experience.
3. Understand user needs, develop wireframes, and build interactive prototypes to refine the VR interface.
4. Work closely with VR developers to ensure designs are functional, immersive, and optimized for performance.
5. Conduct user testing, gather feedback, and refine designs to improve usability and engagement.
6. Ensure a cohesive visual style, color schemes, and typography that align with scientific clarity and immersion.

Academic Qualifications

• Minimum of a Diploma in Multimedia and Visual Effects (VFX), Bachelor's degree in visual communication, design and multimedia program.

Person Specification

Technical Skills:

1. Proficiency in Figma, Adobe XD, or similar design tools.
2. Experience in UI/UX design for 3D, AR, or VR applications is a plus.
3. Familiarity with Game engine UI systems or VR interaction design

Soft Skills:

1. Strong problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.
2. Ability to collaborate effectively with developers and researchers.
3. Excellent communication skills for presenting ideas and user insights.

Experience & Education:

1. Minimum of a Diploma in Multimedia and Visual Effects (VFX), Human-Computer Interaction and Graphic Design.
2. Experience designing immersive or interactive digital experiences.
