Litarm Consults is recruiting on behalf of a leading high-end retail supermarket chain in Uganda. The institution is dedicated to maintaining high operational standards, delivering premium product offerings, and offering exceptional customer experiences within the retail sector.

Role Overview & Scope

The Supermarket Manager will oversee day-to-day store operations, direct high-performing cross-functional teams, and manage multiple departments. The successful candidate will drive store profitability, execute sales strategies, enforce stringent inventory controls, and deliver a superior shopping environment consistent with high-end retail standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Store Operations: Oversee daily floor operations, department workflows, inventory  management, merchandising display, and stock replenishment.
• Team Leadership & Management: Lead, supervise, and mentor large retail teams and departmental supervisors to foster high performance and accountability.
• Sales & Profitability: Implement operational strategies to achieve sales targets, control shrink/shrinkage, maximize profitability, and analyze revenue trends.
• Customer Service Standards: Maintain strict operational and hygiene standards to ensure an efficient and high-end customer experience.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, Marketing, Commerce, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Experience:
• Minimum 5 years of experience in retail or supermarket operations.
• At least 3 years in a supervisory or management role overseeing multiple departments.
• Competencies: Demonstrated track record of meeting sales/profitability targets, proven team leadership capabilities, inventory management skills, and a commitment to high-end customer care.
