Sarovar Hotels is seeking an experienced, professional, and guest-focused Front Desk Manager to lead the front office team at our Kampala property. The successful candidate will oversee all front desk operations, ensure exceptional guest experiences, manage reservations, and drive operational efficiency. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a proven track record in hotel front office or guest services management.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the front desk and guest services.
  • Lead, train, and motivate front office staff to deliver exceptional service.
  • Manage room reservations, check-ins, check-outs, and billing processes.
  • Ensure accurate and efficient use of Property Management Systems (PMS), reservations, and billing systems.
  • Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally and promptly.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction scores and implement improvement strategies.
  • Prepare and manage front office budgets, forecasts, and reports.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.
  • Maintain high standards of professionalism, appearance, and hospitality.
  • Implement and enforce hotel policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • 3–5 years of experience in hotel front office or guest services.
  • 1–2 years of previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with PMS, reservations, and billing systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
  • Professional demeanor and strong organizational abilities.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
