IMK Business Consultants is a Business management consulting firm offering practical and feasible business solutions. We run and operate a Sewing Hub that manufactures school uniforms and corporate office wear, and supplies personal protective equipment (PPE), safety gear and footwear to institutions across Uganda.
Job Summary: We are looking for Sales Associates responsible for generating leads and closing institutional supply deals. The role centres on pitching to schools, offices, factories and other institutions — presenting our uniform, workwear and protective gear offering, demonstrating value, and negotiating supply contracts with decision makers such as head teachers, bursars, directors, procurement officers and HR managers.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Training to be provided to generate leads and build a prospect pipeline of schools, companies, factories, hospitals and NGOs.
- Meeting or exceeding monthly and termly sales goals.
- Pitching the school uniform proposition to head teachers, directors, bursars and school boards — including the benefits of a single, consistent uniform supplier.
- Selling corporate and branded office wear to companies, banks, hotels and NGOs.
- Selling protective gear, safety boots and footwear to construction firms, manufacturers, garages and health facilities.
- Giving persuasive sales presentations to a range of prospective institutional clients.
- Conducting fittings, measurement drives and sample presentations at client premises.
- Negotiating all contracts, pricing and delivery timelines with prospective clients.
- Preparing and submitting quotations, bids and sales contracts for new clients.
- Visiting clients and potential clients to evaluate needs and promote products and services.
- Coordinating sales efforts with marketing programs and with the production/tailoring team to ensure delivery deadlines are met.
- Understanding and promoting the company and its full product range.
- Maintaining client relationships and securing repeat orders each term/season.
- Daily input into the customer relations management (CRM) system.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Experience in institutional, B2B or field sales; experience selling uniforms, textiles, PPE, footwear or school supplies is an added advantage.
- Proven ability to pitch, present and close deals with institutional decision makers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Superb interpersonal skills, including the ability to build rapport quickly.
- Confident presenting to a group (school management committees, boards, procurement teams).
- Able to work comfortably in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
- Willingness to travel upcountry for school and factory visits.
- Valid driver’s or rider’s license is an added advantage.
