Background

We are hiring! Medipal is seeking a qualified Maintenance Officer.

Responsibilities

• Oversee building maintenance operations.
• Ensure construction and architectural standards are met.
• Coordinate with contractors and manage projects.
• Maintain occupational health and safety standards.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Demonstrate integrity, accountability, and attention to detail.
• Work independently and respond effectively to emergencies.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Building Construction, Construction  Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years' relevant experience in building maintenance, construction, facilities management, or a similar role.
• Experience in a hospital, hotel, or other large commercial facility will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:
  • Strong knowledge of building maintenance, construction methods, and architectural finishes.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
  • Good project coordination and contractor management skills.
  • Knowledge of occupational health and safety standards.
  • Strong planning, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and respond effectively to emergencies.
