Mpiima Media Group is an educational arts and entertainment creator established in 2019 and based in Uganda. The company focuses on producing impactful content that combines creative expression with educational value, inspiring and informing diverse audiences. It plays a notable role in the Ugandan entertainment industry by merging artistry with meaningful storytelling across music and digital media. Mpiima Media publishes and distributes music for Ugandan artists on major streaming platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Deezer, and Audio Mack, reaching local and international listeners.

The company also develops and promotes digital content, including music, videos, entertainment news, and promotional campaigns, across social media channels like Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Graphic Designer role based in Kampala. The Graphic Designer will create visual concepts and designs for music releases, digital campaigns, social media content, and promotional materials that reflect Mpiima Media Group’s brand and educational focus.

Responsibilities or duties

  • Developing logos and branding assets for artists and projects
  • Designing cover art, posters, banners, and other marketing collateral
  • Preparing graphics optimized for various digital platforms
  • Collaborating with content creators, marketers, and artists to translate creative briefs into compelling visual solutions, while ensuring consistency in style and messaging
  • Managing design files, maintaining organized asset libraries, and delivering projects within agreed timelines

Qualifications or requirements 

  • Strong skills in Graphics and Graphic Design, with the ability to produce high-quality visual content for digital and print.
  • Proficiency in Logo Design and Branding to create cohesive identities for artists, campaigns, and company initiatives.
  • Solid understanding of Typography and layout principles to ensure clear, engaging, and accessible designs.
  • Experience using industry-standard design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, CorelDRAW, or similar tools).
  • Portfolio demonstrating creative work in entertainment, media, or related fields, preferably including music or digital content projects.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and adapt designs based on feedback.
  • Strong attention to detail, time  management skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
