Role Description This is a part-time, remote Commission Based Sales Associate role located in Kampala, Uganda. The Sales Associate will identify and qualify new business opportunities, focusing on solutions such as SAP Business One, SAP Business One Cloud, Zoho products, HR & Payroll tools, and digital transformation services. Activities include prospecting via calls, emails, networking, and in-person visits, conducting product presentations and demos, and managing the entire sales cycle from first contact through closing. The role involves preparing proposals and quotations, negotiating terms, and maintaining accurate records in the company’s CRM. The Sales Associate will collaborate with technical and implementation teams to ensure smooth onboarding for new clients and will regularly follow up with existing customers to identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Proven sales experience in B2B technology, software, or related services, with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding targets, ideally in a commission-based environment.
  • Familiarity with business software such as ERP, CRM, accounting, or HR & payroll solutions (experience with SAP Business One, Zoho, or similar platforms is an advantage).
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in clear business language.
  • Solid prospecting, relationship-building, and account management capabilities, including comfort with in-person and phone-based outreach.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven, with the ability to work independently, prioritize opportunities, and manage a sales pipeline.
  • Basic understanding of digital transformation concepts and how technology supports operational efficiency and business growth.
  • Proficiency with standard office tools and CRM systems for tracking leads, opportunities, and customer interactions.
  • Relevant diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, Information Systems, or a related field preferred; equivalent practical experience considered.
  • Knowledge of the local Harare and broader Zimbabwean business environment and willingness to travel locally for client meetings.
