Role Description This full-time Professional Sales Agent role is an on-site position based in Kampala. The Professional Sales Agent will identify and engage prospective clients, present trade finance solutions, and manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through closing. Daily responsibilities include conducting client meetings, following up on inquiries, preparing proposals, and maintaining accurate records of all sales activities. The role also involves providing basic guidance on insurance and risk-mitigation products related to trade finance, coordinating with internal teams to support client onboarding, and ensuring a positive customer experience. The Professional Sales Agent will continuously build product knowledge, participate in training, and track market trends to effectively position the company’s services.

Qualifications

 

  • Strong Communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication and the ability to explain financial concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Customer Service skills, with a focus on building trust, handling inquiries professionally, and maintaining long-term client relationships.
  • Proven Sales skills, including prospecting, negotiation, closing deals, and meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Basic understanding of Insurance and risk-related products relevant to trade finance, or willingness to learn quickly.
  • Experience in Training or coaching clients on products and processes, and openness to participate in ongoing internal training.
  • Prior experience in financial services, banking, trade finance, or a related commercial field is an advantage.
  • Ability to work on-site in Kampala, manage time effectively, and handle multiple client accounts simultaneously.
