About Organisation:

Watoto Church Ministries has experienced exponential growth over the past couple of years, comprising multiple Celebration Centres (Campuses) and diverse Community care initiatives, including Child Care, Neighbourhood, Education, and FM Radio, among others.

Job Summary: To coordinate the implementation of discipleship and family life programs that nurture Christ centred individuals, strengthen families and foster holistic transformation within the community

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the development of the structured discipleship programmes.
  • Coordinate the implementation of discipleship programmes to foster spiritual formation.
  • Design interventions in consultation with leadership to address spiritual and behavioral gaps among the mothers.
  • Coordinate with the Campus Pastor to integrate Neighbourhood discipleship interventions.
  • Coordinate and implement Family life and Psychosocial support programmes interventions for mothers and children.
  • Equip caregivers with practical skills in parenting, communication and values formation.
  • Provide guidance and support to address emotional, relational, and social needs.
  • Identify, refer, and follow-up cases requiring counseling or specialized support.
  • Supervise and lead team capacity building for discipleship teams for effective facilitation and programme delivery.
  • Build and functionalize a network of Neighbourhood alumni to drive community engagement and mobilization
  • Work with monitoring, evaluation and learning to track outcomes such as spiritual growth, behavioral change and family stability.
  • Update and maintain the database and generate programme reports.
  • Prepare and submit periodic reports on discipleship, healing, and family life programs.

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant for the role should have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology or related field.
  • At least 5 years work experience in discipleship, counseling, family life programs, or spiritual formation.
  • Training in in Biblical or discipleship is essential.
  • Qualification in Theology is an added advantage.
  • Proven experience in teaching, facilitating and mentoring groups.
  • Experience working with families, youth or community-based programs
  • Experience in supervision of teams or program facilitators, mentorship of staff, and program implementation.
  • Proficiency in the design and delivery of Bible studies, life skills, discipleship, and family life curricula.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and data management tools.
  • Must have knowledge of the local language.
  • A committed, consistent, and discipled Christian who demonstrates spiritual maturity and active engagement in discipleship, aligned with Watoto values.
