Role Overview:

We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking an E-commerce Simulation Expert to work on a contract basis. The role focuses on building and refining synthetic e-commerce environments that train and evaluate advanced AI models. Your expertise in real-world commerce will directly shape how AI systems learn, reason, and perform across critical domains. This work supports the development of reliable AI agents and contributes to the evolution of human-in-the-loop AI training.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and construct synthetic digital stores with realistic product assortments, logical category structures, and authentic pricing models to reflect real-world e-commerce complexity.

• Generate, structure, and maintain comprehensive product catalogs ensuring high data quality, logical consistency, and alignment with market standards.

• Develop diverse shopping scenarios and user prompts that simulate varied consumer intents, preferences, and challenging edge cases to stress-test AI behavior.

• Create evaluation rubrics and conduct rigorous quality assurance to ensure generated data and simulations meet domain-specific accuracy and realism requirements.

• Collaborate with AI teams to refine prompt engineering and scenario design for continuous improvement of AI training datasets.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience in e-commerce operations, including product data management, catalog structuring, or retail systems with a focus on data integrity and real-world relevance.

• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to design complex, logically consistent product hierarchies and pricing logic.

• Familiarity with AI/LLM prompting and evaluation principles, or ability to quickly learn how to structure inputs that generate high-quality training data for AI systems.

• Background in scenario design and user behavior modeling, preferably in retail, consumer goods, or related domains.

• Attention to detail and a quality assurance mindset to maintain high standards in synthetic data generation and simulation environments.

• Self-directed work style with ability to manage multiple asynchronous tasks and deliver consistent, high-quality output under defined deadlines.
