Storekeeper

About the Role:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Storekeeper to join our team in Kampala. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our warehouse/store, ensuring inventory accuracy, and maintaining a safe and organized working environment. This is a critical role supporting our logistics and supply chain efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming goods against purchase orders and delivery notes.
• Organize and store items systematically to optimize space and ensure easy retrieval.
• Issue materials and equipment strictly based on authorized requisition forms.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using both manual logbooks and basic computer systems (Excel/ERP).
• Conduct regular stock counts (daily/weekly/monthly) and reconcile physical stock with system records.
• Ensure the warehouse is clean, orderly, and compliant with health and safety standards.
• Prepare reports on stock levels, damaged goods, and discrepancies.
• Coordinate with procurement, finance, and project teams to ensure timely availability of materials.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Diploma or Certificate in Stores Management, Logistics, Procurement, or a related field.
• Proven experience (2+ years) in a similar storekeeping or warehouse role.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management procedures.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and basic computer literacy.
• Excellent physical condition; able to lift heavy items where necessary.
• High level of integrity, honesty, and accountability.
• Fluency in English​ (both written and spoken) is mandatory for communication and reporting.
