Job Summary: To support the growth of KJL’s car leasing operations across East Africa by expanding fleet operations. The Fleet Advisor will ensure operational efficiency by managing vehicle deliveries, coordinating repairs, and minimizing downtime, while maintaining a high level of customer service.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Fleet Operations & Compliance
- Managing the post order process for vehicle deliveries.
- Coordination for vehicle insurance, vehicle registration, fleet tracking installing and signing delivery notes.
- Renewing and monitoring vehicle permits, licenses and compliance requirements as per country laws and regulations.
- Utilizing GPS systems to monitor drivers and track vehicles in case of theft. Maintenance & Vendor Coordination
- Coordination with Dealers | Workshops for vehicle services and repairs.
- Scheduling regular vehicle maintenance to ensure operational efficiency.
- Ensuring strict servicing and maintenance times to minimize downtime and maintain schedules.
- Empanel new workshops for expanding the service reach within the country.
Customer Service
- Ensuring a high level of customer service.
- Coordination with customers for scheduling the vehicle repairs and maintenance.
Reporting & Finance
- Monitor fleet costs and keeping cost control.
- Generating fleet reports as per company and client requirements.
- Prepare fleet cost reports as per company requirements.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Preferable from fleet background.
- Must have a strong technical knowledge about the vehicles, repair & maintenance, and technical aspects.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple vehicle deliveries, maintenance schedules, and registrations.
- Excellent vendor management and negotiation skills to deal with dealers and workshops.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills for coordinating with clients.
- Analytical skills to monitor fleet costs, generate reports, and maintain cost control.
- Proficiency in utilizing GPS tracking systems and basic fleet management software.
