REQUIREMENT:
A Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Marketing, Petroleum Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in direct sales, preferably within the East African energy, oil marketing, or fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sectors.
Strong negotiation, networking, and customer service skills, coupled with a high degree of motivation.
A valid Ugandan riding or driving permit (often require for field-based roles)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Target, and onboard new commercial and industrial clients, local distributors, and retail service stations.
Consistently meet revenue and margin targets on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
Provide technical advice to clients and mechanics on the proper usage and handling of lubricants and petroleum derivatives.
Develop route-to-market strategies within specific Ugandan regions (e.g., Kampala, Central region, or upcountry) to ensure continuous product availability and visibility.
Oversee client accounts, including invoicing, debt collection, and managing stock level.
HSSEQ Compliance: Ensure that all client sites, fuel depots, and transport partners strictly adhere to health, safety, security, environmental, and quality (HSSEQ) standards.
Gather feed back from the field, track competitors pricing and activities, and report findings to the line manager.
