JOB DETAILS:
Job Summary:
Assembling Operator is responsible for assembling and integrating components such as beacons, chips, and trackers into license plates. The role includes operating machinery, ensuring the quality of each assembled plate and maintaining production standards.
Responsibilities:
- Component integration: Assemble license plates with additional components including beacons, chips, and GPS trackers as per technical specifications.
- Equipment operation: Operate and maintain production machinery, ensuring smooth assembly processes and minimizing downtime.
- Quality control: Inspect finished license plates to ensure proper assembly of all components and adherence to quality standards. Conduct functional tests on integrated components (chips, beacons, trackers) to ensure they meet operational standards.
- Inventory management: Track components (beacons, chips, trackers) and ensure adequate stock levels are maintained for continuous production.
- Safety compliance: Follow plant safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of production processes, including the number of plates assembled, faults identified, and corrective measures taken.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and address operational issues with equipment or components, reporting any malfunctions to the Team Leader.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Production Team to ensure production targets are met and issues are promptly resolved.
- Continuous improvement: Suggest improvements to the assembly process and contribute to productivity enhancement initiatives.
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Production targets: Number of license plates successfully assembled per shift.
- Quality assurance: Percentage of assembled plates returned due to defects or improper component integration. Percentage of plates passing quality control checks on the first inspection.
- Downtime management: Downtime reduction and quick resolution of technical issues.
- Compliance: Adherence to safety regulations and compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Inventory accuracy: Proper tracking and usage of components with minimal wastage.
Requirements:
- Technical certification or diploma in mechanical engineering, manufacturing, electronics or a related field.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience in a production or assembly role, preferably in a high-tech manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and instructions.
- Proficiency in using machinery and tools related to assembly operation and component integration.
- Basic understanding of electronics (beacons, chips, trackers).
- High level of accuracy in assembling components and inspecting products.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues with production equipment or assembly processes.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift components, and handle manual tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative production team.
