About Organisation:

Uganda Free Zones and Export Promotions Authority (UFZEPA) is a Statutory Government Agency established by the Free Zones (Amendment) Act 30 of 2024, and is responsible for the establishment, development, management, marketing, maintenance, supervision and control of Free Zones; the development, promotion and coordination of all export-related activities; and to provide for related matters.

Job Summary: To provide technical support and guidance in the maintenance of IT support services to users in the Authority.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• • Administer web, networks, systems and databases
  • Manage and maintain LAN/WAN to standards
  • Provide routine user support on LAN/WAN and other IT issues
  • Plan and deliver staff IT trainings
  • Requisition and deploy appropriate technologies
  • Monitor data/voice communication facilities
  • Propose and implement network improvements
  • Develop and maintain the organization website
  • Provide general user support

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• Honors Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology & Computing, Computer Information Systems & Administration, Business Information Systems, System Administration, or Software Engineering/System Design & Analysis
