Job Summary:
Join our customer's team as a Lawer (JD) - AI trainer and play a pivotal role in advancing the legal reasoning capabilities of next-generation AI systems. You will leverage your legal expertise to challenge and refine the abilities of sophisticated AI models, shaping the future of legal technology through impactful collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop complex, domain-specific legal questions designed to thoroughly assess AI model capabilities.
- Create comprehensive rubrics to systematically evaluate model responses, ensuring clarity and alignment with legal standards.
- Craft scenarios that push the boundaries of AI comprehension, targeting performance levels where frontier models like GPT-5 score 40% or lower.
- Provide detailed written and verbal feedback to guide model improvement and training strategies.
- Collaborate with the AI training team to refine evaluation frameworks and share subject matter expertise.
- Review and enhance peer-generated content for accuracy, challenge, and instructional value.
- Stay updated on advancements in AI and legal technology, contributing insights to the project roadmap.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent advanced law degree.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a strong emphasis on clarity and legal precision.
- Demonstrated expertise in legal analysis, scenario drafting, and domain-specific reasoning.
- Proven ability to create challenging legal content that tests advanced understanding.
- Experience working remotely and independently in a collaborative environment.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality, especially in developing assessment rubrics.
- A passion for cutting-edge AI innovation and its intersection with law.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in AI-assisted legal content creation, evaluation, or training.
- Familiarity with frontier AI models and the unique challenges they present in legal domains.
- Background in legal education, assessment, or related academic work.
